Social Media Activist VeryDarkMan Allegedly Arrested by EFCC at GTBank

In a fresh development stirring reactions online, popular social media activist and commentator, VeryDarkMan, has reportedly been apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, the arrest took place unexpectedly within the premises of a Guarantee Trust Bank (GTBank) branch.

Adeyanju, a well-known human rights lawyer and activist himself, disclosed that the arrest appeared to be an ambush. He alleged that EFCC officials were lying in wait for VeryDarkMan before taking him into custody without prior notice or invitation.

The circumstances surrounding the arrest are still unclear, as the EFCC has yet to issue an official statement confirming the incident or providing details on the reason behind the move. However, Adeyanju has called for transparency and demanded that the agency respect his client’s rights and follow due legal process.

VeryDarkMan, who has built a large following online for his outspoken views on social justice, celebrity culture, and national issues, has had multiple brushes with controversy over the years. This latest development has sparked conversations on social media, with supporters and critics expressing mixed reactions to the news.

As of now, it remains uncertain whether he has been released or is still in custody. Legal observers and fans alike are closely monitoring the situation, waiting for more details to emerge in the coming hours or days.
