Refined Products Set for Export

Three vessels – *Microft*, *STI Mighty*, and *PS New Orleans* – are also at the facility to load 10,000, 44,000, and 44,000 metric tonnes of jet fuel respectively for the global market. This demonstrates the refinery’s capacity to meet both local and international demand.

PMS and Diesel Imports Continue

The tanker schedule reveals that several other vessels are discharging imported Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel for key Nigerian operators, including Aiteo, A.A Rano, Obat, Pinnacle, MENJ, and Rainoil. The increased activity reflects a competitive, deregulated petroleum market in Nigeria.

Industry Players Applaud Deregulation

Olatide Jeremiah, CEO of Petroleum Price NG, noted that the deregulation of the petroleum sector has allowed marketers to purchase products from both local and international sources. “This creates competition, which ultimately benefits Nigerian consumers,” he said.

Collaboration Between Dangote and NNPC Strengthens

Amid rising output, Dangote Group and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) have committed to deepening their collaboration. Aliko Dangote emphasized that both entities are partners in progress: “NNPC is part and parcel of our business, and we are also part of NNPC.”
