Matteo Guendouzi joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018 from the second tier of French football. Despite his age and limited experience at top level, Guendouzi would show signs of promise early in his Arsenal career.

That was until he was accused of taunting several Brighton stars over finances during a match back in June. Guendouzi didn’t garner a single appearance for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign. Guendouzi names best player & coach he has played with.

Guendouzi has since been loaned to German outfit Hertha Berlin for the 2020/21 campaign. The youngster has since endured a rather mixed 2020/21, with Hertha, after a decent start, now firmly in a relegation battle.

In terms of a potential permanent stay in Germany for Guendouzi, recent reports suggest that may not happen, with it claimed Hertha are looking into replacements for the Arsenal man. In turn, it does appear as though Guendouzi will be back at the Emirates in the summer. However, recent comments from the midfielder are unlikely to have eased any potential tension between himself and the club. Guendouzi was recently asked to name the best player he has played with, to which he responded:

“Technically, whether he’s on the pitch during a match or on the training ground he has a technical ease.
