Andreas Pereira Provide First Assist Spell
Andreas Pereira has become Manchester United’s forgotten man out on loan at Lazio. When Bruno Fernandes signed for United a year ago, Pereira was moved aside and only started one game thereafter.
He eventually landed a move to Lazio in the summer, and it has been a stop-start stint for him so far.
While other United players like James Garner and Tahith Chong have had their loan moves cancelled, Pereira is continuing to push on at Lazio, and had a bit of a breakthrough at the weekend. He did not need much time to do so either. Pereira was brought on in the 81st minute and set up a goal in the 82nd.
Pereira latched onto a clever through ball, and squared a pass for striker Vedat Muriqi to score his first Lazio goal. It was a decisive moment from Pereira, which put Lazio’s lead beyond doubt to enable them to see out the game and clinch an important three points.
