3-Verdict Reason Dean Henderson” Will Push To Leave” Manchester United Before Next Clash.
Dean Henderson, the former Sheffield United goalkeeper, will reportedly push for a move away from Manchester United this summer after growing frustrated as his lack of game -time this season. The youngster, whose reputation was enhanced by two successful seasons on loan at Bramall Lane, has made 12 appearances for the Red Devils after returning to his boyhood club.
But only three of those have come in the Premier League, with David De Gea preferred between. Henderson has showed throughout his career that he is not content to sit on the bench, and he knows that being No. 2 at Old Trafford will not be doing his hopes of becoming England’s first-choice goalkeeper any good.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Henderson has no intention of playing second fiddle to De Gea for a second seasonn, and will push for a move away from Old Trafford if he doesn’t get more games. The Sun reported over the weekend that Solskjær will look to sell one of either De Gea or Henderson this summer but with the former on a reported £375,000-a-week salary, a potential suitor may be difficult to find.
Henderson, meanwhile, is being eyed by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham United.
A return to Bramall Lane is out of the question, especially with United facing up to life in the Championship.
Solskjær’s employers are understood to value Henderson at around £40m, and awarded him a bumper new contract recently which sees him earn over £100,000 a week.
